On Tuesday night, the People for Fairness Coalition will host their 10th annual homeless memorial vigil. This event remembers those who died without housing in DC and pushes us all to ensure that nobody else dies without the dignity of a home. This powerful action kicks off with speeches and a call to action that is followed by a funeral procession and march to Freedom Plaza, where dinner will be provided. Learn more and RSVP here.

2023 Lenten Devotional Creative Workshop

We will hold a Creative Workshop for those interested in writing or creating art for the 2023 Lenten Devotional on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. in Room 203 at Foundry and online. There, you can learn about next year's Devotional theme and incubate ideas with your Foundry friends.

Register for the workshop here, and click here to join the Lenten Devotional Group on Church Center.

On Sundays from January 8–February 19, 2023, Pastor Jonathan and Discipleship Ministries will offer a six-week course on Mark as Story. We will read the entirety of the Gospel of Mark, then discuss its characters, setting, and plot to unearth new theological meaning. This course will be offered Sunday mornings beginning at 10:15 a.m. in room 202 at Foundry. Learn more and register here.

Help us plan our 2023 programs! On Sunday, Jan. 29, we invite all small group leaders, class leaders, and anyone who is interested in Discipleship to our 2023 Visioning Session. We will come together to think through what our 2023 programs will look like, discuss possible themes, and imagine the implementation of new groups and experiences. This will take place in the Community Commons at 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Contact Pastor Jonathan with questions at jbrown@foundryumc.org.
